Terms and Conditions

Booking

Once the reservation is made an ATOL confirmation invoice will be sent to you. Such confirmation will also be sent via fax, email, royal mail postal service or verbally if you choose to call us direct. This will confirm that MV First Travel has entered into a contract with you to provide all the components of the holiday you have booked.  This contract is governed by English law and the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Please check the details on your invoice and contact MV First Travel immediately if there are any discrepancies.

A minimum deposit of £150 per person is required and full payment is due no later than 8 weeks prior to the departure date. Holidays where the balance is not paid by the said date will be treated as a cancellation and the relevant cancellation charges applied (see below)

Please note the date by which the final balance is due, no further reminder will be sent.

A number of external suppliers provide services and packages for which separate and additional deposits apply. In these instances you will be advised of the necessary deposits at the time of booking.

Change of booking

If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, we will do our best to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any change must be requested in writing from the person who made the booking or your travel agent. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of £30 per person plus any cost we incur in making this alteration.

 Holiday price

The price of your travel arrangements can be varied due to changes in transportation costs such as fuel, scheduled airfares and any other airline cost changes which are part of the contract between airlines (and their agents) and the tour operator or organizers. Also government action such as changes in VAT or any other Government imposed changes. In relation to package holidays, we will absorb and you will not be charged for any increase (excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges) equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements. Only amounts in excess of this 2% will be surcharged or re-paid. In either case there will be an administration charge of £1.00 per person together with an amount to cover agent’s commission. If this means that you have to pay an increase of more than 10% of the price of your travel arrangements (excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges) you may cancel your holiday and receive a full refund of all monies paid, except for any premium paid to us for holiday insurance and any amendment charges. Should you decide to cancel for this reason, you should do  so within 14 days from the issue date printed on your final invoice.

Passports/Visa/Health & Safety

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of all necessary Travel & Health documents before departure.

A valid passport is essential when you travel abroad. Contact the appropriate embassy to check whether a visa is required.

We cannot accept liability if you are refused entry into any country because of failure to carry the correct documentation and any financial consequence will be your responsibility.

Contact the Foreign & Commonwealth Travel Unit for information on recommended Travel Insurance and compulsory vaccinations.

Adequate travel insurance is essential and should be suitable for your particular needs. Read your policy and take it on holiday with you.

Financial Protection

When you purchase an ATOL protected air holiday package/flight from MV First Travel you will receive an ATOL confirmation invoice from us confirming your travel arrangements and your protection under our Air Travel Organisation Licence.

The price of our holiday package includes the amount of £1 per person as part of the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) we pay the CAA. This is included in our advertised prices.

In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any monies you have paid to us for your advanced booking. For further information visit the ATOL website @ www.atol.org.uk

Not all holiday or travel services offered and sold by MV First Travel will be protected by the ATOL scheme.


Cancellation

Cancellation should be notified immediately in writing. You will incur the cancellation charges.

Please note that your insurance premium is non-refundable

Complaints

If for any reason you have cause to complain about any aspect of your holiday that we have arranged, you should contact the local representative immediately so that the problem can be resolved. If when you return you are still not satisfied please write to MV First Travel within 28 days of your arrival back home
